This is not an official offer from a railway company. We are not affiliated with any railway company. The map material does not replace information published or authorized by railway companies. Therefore, no liability can be accepted for any damage caused by faulty information on these pages.

Our site contains links to external websites, over which we have no influence. Therefore we can not accept any liability for this external content. The respective provider or operator of such sites is always responsible for the contents of any linked site. The linked sites were checked at the time of linking for possible legal violations. Illegal contents were not apparent at the time of linking. A permanent control of the linked pages is unreasonable without concrete evidence of a violation. This Privacy Policy clarifies the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data (hereinafter referred to as "Data") within our online offering and the related websites, features and content, as well as external online presence, e.g. our Social Media Profile (collectively referred to as the "Online Offering"). With regard to the terminology used, e.g. "Processing" or "Responsible", we refer to the definitions in Article 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Types of processed data

When using our services, the following information about your each of your requests to our services is save in our log files:

  • IP address
  • time of access
  • requested content (URL, query of your search request)
  • HTTP referrer (website linking to us)
  • user agent (name and version of your web browser and operating system)
  • HTTP status code The status code describes whether your request was successfully and allows conclusions to the reason.

These log files will be deleted after seven days.

If you are subscribed to our mailing list, the following data is stored about you as long as you are registered:

  • your name, if provided
  • your email address
  • date and time of registration
  • subscribed mailing lists
  • your OpenStreetMap user name if you used your OpenStreetMap account to sign up

If you send messages to our mailing list, the following data is stored about you permanently:

  • your name, if provided
  • your email address
  • date and time
  • content of the message

Mailing list archives are public. Your messages might be downloaded, stored and re-published by third parties.

If you send an email privately to us, we may save the sent message including your name and email address for two years.

Purpose of Processing, Legal Basis, Duration of Storage

In recording and processing this data, we are pursuing our legitimate interests as a data controller on the legal basis of Article 6 (1)(f) of the GDPR.

The collected data is used to detect and block excessive and incorrect usage of our services causing costs for us and limiting the usability by other users. If it is possible for us to determine the owner of the IP address, we might contact them. By contacting them, we would like to offer them the possibility to change their access patterns and avoid them to be blocked by us.

We use the data in aggregated form (number of accesses to certain pages or files) in order to determine the demand and adapt the service to it. Adding or removeing map styles or additional interfaces for searcing, routing or similar are common examples.

We might publish data in aggregated form. The data will be aggregated in a way to make it impossible to assign it to individual users. Examples for such publications are: number of access to certain regions on the map, map styles or pages as well as regions/IP subnets where the requests come from.

We will not use the data for marketing. We do not set cookies.

Log files are deleted after seven days.

We use data from communication by email in order to respond to your emails. In that case, our legal basis s article 6 (1)(b) GDPR. Archives might be kept for longer than two years if we are legally required to do so.

We do not share information with anyone else except legally required

Rights of data subjects

According to article 13 GDPR, we inform you about your rights related to data collection and processing:

You have the right to ask for confirmation as to whether the data in question is being processed. If this is true, you have the right to receive a copy of the data. (artile 15 GDPR)

In accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, you have the right to demand the completion of the data concerning you or the correction of the incorrect data concerning you.

In accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, you have the right to demand that the relevant data be deleted immediately or, alternatively, to require a restriction of the processing of data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR.

You have the right to demand that the data relating to you, which you have provided to us, be obtained in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR and request their transmission to other persons responsible.

You have the right to object to the future processing of your data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR at any time.

You have the right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR.

Based on our legitimate interests (ie interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR), we make use of content or services offered by third-party providers in order to provide their content and services Services, such as to incorporate maps (hereinafter collectively referred to as "content").

This website embeds maps from OpenStreetMap, which are provided by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom (OSMF). The map tiles are loaded from servers operated by the OSMF, which are located in the United Kingdom and other countries.
